The George Hotel the most iconic and oldest hotel set in the heart of Colchester, England’s oldest city, right on the high street and approximately 100 yards from Colchester Castle.

The bank ‘Massey & Co’ was founded in what is now the Gryffens Restaurant and was there as an independent bank operated until 1930.
